EasyJoey is end-to-end encrypted clinic management system that protects your patients' medical records and gives you total autonomy of your health data.
The Mission
To provide every doctor around the globe a truly private medical records system that prioritizes security and data ownership. This is to make healthcare data easily accesible to everyone without compromising patient privacy. It also has to be affordable, no subscription necessary.
Own The Software. Own Your Data.
EasyJoey stands as your ally, offering a unique, local-first approach that ensures your data remains yours—not held hostage in someone else's cloud—accessible securely and effortlessly at any time.
EasyJoey reinvents the medical records management landscape with a groundbreaking approach, unparalleled and distinct. It offers a seamless and intuitive way to manage medical records, with a core focus on privacy, security, and data ownership.
EasyJoey's' advanced design enables smooth peer-to-peer networking in local setups, allowing multiple users to collaborate efficiently. This ensures enhanced data access and security within healthcare facilities, maintaining speed and privacy.
Unlike traditional EMRs, EasyJoey adopts a unique record-centric model. Each medical encounter is treated as a distinct entity, enabling granular access and sharing. This approach not only enhances auditability but also ensures that sharing patient records can be selective and specific.
Since you own and control your health data, you're never locked out of access. EasyJoey's' local-first approach guarantees that your medical records are always accessible, even offline. This autonomy ensures continuous operation and access, irrespective of internet availability.
EJ utilizes advanced open-source technology for robust end-to-end encryption on top of its own security concoction. This secures every medical encounter, ensuring data privacy and protecting against unauthorized breaches.
EasyJoey leverages generative AI to transform medical history summarization and support CDS, simplifying patient data into concise summaries for quick, essential insights. This AI integration enhances patient care management and decision-making efficiency.
Local-first software is a concept that emphasizes user ownership and control of data, ensuring faster response times, and enabling real-time collaboration across multiple devices. This approach stands in contrast to cloud-based applications, where data is typically stored on servers controlled by the service provider.
* Ink & Switch's research paper has been key in defining and solidifying this concept.
Users have full control over their data, as it is stored on their own devices. This enhances privacy and security, as there's less risk of data breaches from external servers.
These applications can fully function offline, allowing users to continue working without an internet connection. Any changes made offline are synchronized once the device reconnects to the internet.
Since data is stored locally, applications often run faster and more efficiently, without the delays that can come from server-based processing or data retrieval.
Even though the data is stored locally, local-first software often supports collaborative features through peer-to-peer syncing or selective cloud synchronization, allowing users to work together without surrendering full control of their data to a third party.
Data and functionality are not tied to the lifespan or policies of a third-party service. This means users can rely on their software and data being accessible long-term, without the risk of services being discontinued or changed.
Our founder, Dale, has recently traveled from the Philippines to Indonesia, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, India, and Sri Lanka. His goal was to observe firsthand the challenges faced by doctors and small clinics, particularly in developing countries. Many still rely on paper-based or analog systems. Dale also noted that those who have upgraded to electronic medical records (EMRs) deal with high costs and complex implementations. Additionally, these systems often restrict access to vital patient data when subscriptions are discontinued.
These challenges prevent millions of patients around the globe from easily and securely accessing their medical records.
With over eight years of experience in developing health records systems, our team is committed to improving this situation by introducing the first 'local-first' health management system. We aim to provide an affordable and effective solution that allows healthcare providers to control their data fully, free from the usual constraints, ensuring true privacy, security, and ownership.
EasyJoey is a contributor to the Local-First Initiative (localfirsthealth.org). Join us as we lead the charge in making healthcare data accessible, secure, and truly private—an absolute game-changer for both providers and patients.
